General Surgery

Our surgeons have been delivering quality health care in the Dallas area for over 50 years. Our surgeons have maintained a long-standing reputation for quality surgical care throughout the DFW communities and are known for consistently offering patients comprehensive care in a comfortable and caring environment.

HealthTexas general surgeons treat a broad range of general surgical conditions, often through advanced laparoscopic procedures. General surgeons focus primarily on hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery, upper GI surgery and all non-oncological-based surgery. Because there is a close overlap between general and minimally invasive surgery, most all surgeons possess experience and expertise in minimally invasive techniques. Among their innovations: HealthTexas general surgeons have begun using a new technique using an endoluminal sponge to treat esophageal perforation with early reported success. HealthTexas general surgeons are among those conducting clinical research focusing on common operations and the underlying disease process. This research aims to not only understand the causes of disease but to improve patient care and overall patient experience. General surgeons also collaborate with other specialties in conducting clinical research spanning a multitude of subjects.
